Bern

A U shaped river surrounds the city of Bern.  We were able to spend a couple of days enjoying the beauty of the river and soaking up our last two days in Switzerland.  As I kept saying how much I loved Switzerland Adam just kept saying, "So now can you see why Roger Federer is so much classier and better than all of the other tennis players."  Apparently Roger is Swiss or something, haha.

Bern also now has a bear park along the river.  The bears didn't really do much besides lay on the ground, but they were fun to see anyway.

To continue the classiness of Switzerland we watched an oversized chess game in the park.  Adam immediately pulled out the Harry Potter quotes, "knight to H3!"

My favorite place in Bern was the Rose garden.  The gardens are similar in quality to the ones at Thanksgiving point, but the upside was that these gardens were free.

Saturday we witnessed a couple being carried through the streets of the city in celebration of their wedding.

During that afternoon we took a train to the Bern temple in Zollikofen.  This temple is 9th oldest temple, and the first temple built in Europe.  We walked into the church next door to find out when church was - which was lucky because we found out that it was stake conference the next day.  Sunday morning we attended stake conference with the Bern stake, they even had sweet headsets with English translation and everything.
